FAQs

For any press related enquiries please contact Bridget on info@badbrownie.co.uk

We use an external courier that requires a signature and all deliveries will be made between 9am and 5pm, Monday-Friday. If no one is in, they courier will attempt to re-deliver the brownies the next working day, so please bear this in mind when selecting a delivery address and be sure to include a phone number. If possible, request delivery to a work address or a home where you know someone will be in. If you would like the package to be left in a safe place or with a neighbour, write that in the delivery notes!

How long do the brownies keep for?

Our brownies keep for 2 weeks at room temperature, 3 weeks in the fridge, and can be frozen for up to 3 months. Brownies containing fresh fruit will keep for 5 days at room temperature, 2 weeks in the fridge, and can be frozen for up to 3 months.

How many people do they serve?

For the chocoholics, 3-4 bites per person. For the less committed (aka no one), 2-3 bites per person is a good starter. So, a 25-bite box serves 6-8 people (or 12 if you're being stingy), and a 12-bite box serves 3-4, or 6 if you're that way inclined.

What ingredients do we use to make our brownies so delicious?

We always use the best ingredients we can get hold of to make our brownies so flavoursome, fudgy and decadent. We use fair trade chocolate and free range eggs to make sure other people (and chickens) benefit from our brownies too.

Remember: great ingredients + amazing chefs = awesome brownies.

What allergens are there in the brownies?

All our brownies contain milk, eggs, gluten, soya and there may be traces of nut too as our kitchen is not nut free!

Is gluten free an option?

Short answer: Yes - gluten free ingredient salted caramel brownie.

Long answer: all our brownies contain gluten, but we do make a gluten free ingredient salted caramel brownie, which tastes almost the same as our usual brownies (after much testing!). This can be bought in markets in any quantity, or online as a 25-bite box. Simply add the regular caramel box to your basket, and write "gluten free" in the "Special comments/notes" section.

We cannot provide gluten free brownies as part of the chef selection box. Also note that our product is made from gluten free ingredients as but despite our best efforts to minimise contamination, our kitchen is not completely gluten free so there may be traces.

I want to purchase brownie trays for an event. What flavours are available?

We're always producing our regular and best-selling flavours: peanut buttersalted caramel, and triple chocolate. Get in touch if you'd like another special flavour, and we'll see what we can do.

How do I add a note?

Just write it in the 'Special notes/comments' section at checkout - this includes delivery requests and messages.

If you're not sure, just email us at info@badbrownie.co.uk

When will my order be delivered?

We now use DPD to get brownies to you.

The cost of delivery anywhere in the UK is included in the price. For deliveries to EU destinations, please shoot an email to info@badbrownie.co.uk.

We try to deliver on the nominated day or soonest day following an order, but we can’t guarantee delivery dates. It can take us up to 5 working days to process orders, so please consider this when ordering.

DPD will send you a text and email on the morning of the delivery telling you a 1-hour delivery window. If this doesn’t work for you, choose from several options to get your hands on those delicious brownies.

Please include a phone number AND email address for the recipient. If you don’t, we can’t accept responsibility for late deliveries:  giving our courier a way to reach you is vital for a successful delivery.

Please note we do our best to deliver as close as possible to your requested date but accept no liability for late deliveries unless your brownies have not been delivered within 5 working days of your order.

If you urgently need the brownies at a particular day/time, please contact us as we will organise for an upgraded delivery at an additional cost.

Where do you deliver to?

Our standard shipping includes postcodes in England, Wales & the majority of Scotland. However, our couriers charge extra to deliver to the Scottish Islands and Highlands as well as Northern Ireland or Channel Islands and so we cannot deliver to these places as standard.

Please email us for costs on deliveries to the excluded locations above.
