Delivery

FREE DELIVERY on orders over £40 (if going to one address). This free delivery is via Royal Mail (2-3 working days from dispatch)

On orders under £40, delivery varies by the service you choose:

Royal Mail - £2.95, 2-3 working day delivery from date of dispatch

DPD- £4.95, 1 working day delivery from date of dispatch

We dispatch orders placed before 3pm on the same day and any orders after this time are most likely to be pushed until the day after.

Can I choose when my brownies get delivered?

You cannot choose when your brownies get delivered but you can choose when we send out your brownies! Because we offer more than one delivery option to give you the most flexibility on budget, it means that the delivery time depends on which shipping service you choose. So instead, we allow you to pick your dispatch date (the day we send your brownies out) and you can then choose if you want a next working day service with DPD or a 2-3 day service with Royal Mail. Whichever service you choose, please ensure you allow extra time for your delivery to arrive just in case there are unforeseen delays in transit as none of our delivery times are guaranteed.

Royal Mail - 2-3 working days

Items sent by Royal Mail are expected to arrive within 2-3 working days from dispatch and do not require a signature. Royal Mail deliver Mon to Sat (not Sunday).

There is no text message service with Royal Mail and no live tracking. If you want these features, you must opt for the DPD next working day service.

Sometimes the package might take a day or two longer to arrive than this so please don't worry - give it 5 working days before getting in touch with us!

DPD - Next Working Day Delivery

If you select this delivery service, then orders placed before 3pm on a working day will be shipped the same day and delivered the next working day (not weekends or public holidays).

A signature will be required but you can opt for a safe place instead using the text message prompts that DPD will send to the mobile number you enter when you place your order. You will get a 2 hours delivery window by 11am on the day of delivery so you can plan your day around this.

DPD delivery is only currently available for England and Wales.

Any orders placed after 3pm will most likely be dispatched the next working day although we try to fulfil orders as soon as possible so it might be that orders after 3pm manage to be shipped the same day.

Any orders dispatched on Friday are usually delivered on Monday as long as it isn't a bank holiday.

Orders placed over the weekend (including bank holidays) and after 3pm on Friday will be dispatched on Monday for delivery on Tuesday (we may ship some orders placed on Friday after 3pm on the same day if we can) on normal weeks, or if Monday is a bank holiday then they will be shipped Tuesday for Wednesday.

Please note on rare occasions, orders placed on Friday might be delivered on a Saturday or even a Sunday. This is out of our control and in the hands of our trusted DPD drivers who, very occasionally, may get a little ahead of themselves and deliver your parcel earlier.

While we ship on a weekday overnight service, and 97% of parcels arrive the next working day, this is not a guaranteed service as sometimes there are unforeseen delays (see below).

Do you deliver at the weekend?

At the moment we don't offer standard guaranteed delivery at the weekend although Royal Mail do deliver on Saturdays and sometimes DPD deliver at the weekends if their drivers are very busy and can't wait until Monday. However there is no way to specifically request a weekend delivery.

      Is my delivery date guaranteed?

Unfortunately, we can't guarantee your order will arrive on a specific day. This is because unforeseen events can occur, such as adverse weather conditions or delays en route.

What if I am not in?

DPD can leave in a safe place but only if specifically instructed to do so. This is very simple - make sure you enter a mobile phone number at checkout and you will be sent a tracking link to your mobile by 11am on the day of delivery and you can choose to either deliver to a safe place, a neighbour or a nearby pick up point.

You can also do this using the email link DPD will send to the email address entered when an order is placed.

Please note we do not leave items in a safe place by default and if there is no one available to answer the door to the courier more than twice, the items will be destroyed and cannot be refunded. So, it is really important you check your DPD tracking and take appropriate preventative action if you will not be able to accept the delivery.

      Who are your couriers?

We use DPD for overnight/next day delivery services and Royal Mail (Tracked 48 service) for the standard service to all parts of the UK and for the free delivery over £40.

What if my delivery address is incorrect?

If you notice your address is incorrect please get in touch with us as soon as possible with your order number and correct address. If the package has not been packed or dispatched yet, we should be able to change it for you - however speed is of the essence as our team pack throughout the day Mon-Fri. Unfortunately, we are unable to change delivery addresses once an order has been packed or dispatched, especially with Royal Mail. If you have chosen DPD overnight delivery please get in touch as soon as you can and we can see what we can do, as if it is a minor change (eg the wrong house number) then they may be able to change it. Or, you can designate a neighbour when you get the delivery update text message or email.

We cannot offer refunds for any incorrect addresses and checking the correct address is entered is the sole responsibility of the person placing the order. We offer an order review page during the checkout process specifically for customers to check their order details before confirming the order.

      Anything else I should know?

Our packages are slightly too big to fit through standard letter boxes. Therefore, you'll need someone to be home to receive the order or specify a safe place.

Please include a phone number for the recipient or yourself to receive delivery updates. If you do not, we cannot accept responsibility for late deliveries or instances where the deriver has not been able to locate an address.

Please make sure the delivery address is correct. Once our brownies have been dispatched we are unable to change the address and you may incur a charge if we need to create a new shipping label. Please double check your postcode and first line of address, especially if you are paying using a third party provider like Apple Pay, or Paypal etc who sometimes change the chipping address to a default delivery address on your account or a last used address. These are beyond our control and therefore all addresses must be double checked by yourself before confirming the order.

      Do you deliver abroad?

Unfortunately, due to Brexit, we are no longer able to deliver to Europe.

My brownies are damaged – what should I do?

Should your order(s) arrive damaged and/or defective, please send photo evidence of this to info@badbrownie.co.uk and our team will proceed accordingly.
